V. Harrington was puzzled when she looked around Minneapolis
and the surrounding areas in 1994. She couldn’t find representation
of her rich and colorful African American heritage on the retail
shelves. With no manufacturers willing to launch a line of Carmel-color
images, Harrington’s dream soon became her drive to create
them.
She put together a trailblazing team of designers and artists
who carved out images in tones of coffee that celebrated sweet
potato pie and pig tails plaits.
By 2002, Harrington became the sole owner of Wishes Incorporated
and her dream has come true with a full line of affordable gift
items. Located now in Lawrenceville, Georgia. The popular home-base
business produces and distributes an exclusive line of gift
items.
With her collection of beauty hues, textured hair and joyful
faces, Harrington’ s line satisfies shoppers while supporting
her own mission:
“To produce, manufacture, and distribute affordable,
quality merchandise to be enjoyed and appreciated by future
generations of all ethnic groups.”
